It's supposed to be 72* degrees tomorrow. If it'll make you feel any better, there's an 80% chance of rain so neither one of us is riding. LOL

In all seriousness, the trunk is much better than I expected and from the HD trunk I saw in Dallas a couple months ago, close to a thousand times better. I like it but I wish it fit an inch or so further up the rack towards the passenger seat. There's a "U" shaped channel underneath it the makes it sit a little more to the rear than I'd like. Not so much for a passenger as I ride alone but more for asthetics. Overall, I'm really happy with it...and this bike!

It's from vikingbags.com. There's a bang up deal right now with 30% off. I was pretty happy with my 15% I got but man this is a killer deal. A little over $260 delivered to Texas. Your mileage may vary. I'd buy this again and have no issues recommending them. Again you only get one key so maybe ask if you can get a blank. I have a request in but have not heard a response.

If you jump on it. be sure to post pics. You'll need the two up rack as well to complete the installation or some rack, along with docking hardware.

Hope this helps. Ride safe.

Default Added LED down lighting to my Cherry

My S.O. got me this set of LED down lighting for Christmas. Approx $60. Installed them today

Here are some pic's:

Right side.

The wreath on the windshield is not part of the kit. Made that for the holidays. Plugs into the USB port. Comming off after New Years Day.

Left side.

The set included everything. Althought I tapped my power off a switched circuit so it turns on and off with the ignition switch, it also comes with a pre-installed small push button on/off switch that I was able to double stick tape to the side of the speedo console. Very inconsipcuous.

If you wanted to light up the bike like they show in the photos on the box, you would need to get at two or more sets, but for my wants this was enough. For the price she paid I can't complain.

There is a wire from the contol module that, if attached to the brake light circuit, turns the lights to red when the brake is applied....not sure I'm going to do that, don't want any problem with LEO. There are many color choices, but again Blue and Red could get me in trouble with LEO. I hate green so that wont be used. Will probably just use the solid white like in the pic's. Some strips look pink or light blue depending on what angle you look at them.

You can control the lights form a push button remote or from your phone after downloading their app. You can even make the light blink to music via Bluetooth (Don't think that is too good of an idea while riding.)

Install was easy, but time consuming...took me about 6 hours. Lots of thought on how to run the wires. Lots of prep to make sure the self stick tape sticks. Used a lot of zip ties to make sure if the double stick tape comes loose, the strips can't fall off. The area under my seat looks like a birds nest...lots of wires, but it all fit OK.

Almost made a mistake. Wanted to put the strips on the frame under the bike, but realized that is where the jack meets the frame. I rolled the lights inboard along the rails so they will not impeed the use of the jack.

This was a fun project, and yes I Know, I'm a accessory junkie. LOL

Great thread and info here, lots of ideas etc.

I just picked up an 18' FLHCS and it's the best sled I've owned yet, ABS and cruise are great to have now. So far I've added the Lucky Dave's seat, DJ-Powervision via FuelMoto, SuperTrapp Bootlegger exhaust, and DK Customs intake. Itching for spring but been logging miles when possible. I'm giving the LD seat time to break in but would still like to be back a bit more, Mustang seats seem to have consistent feedback they move you that way, on the radar along with the Saddelman Explorer possibly.

Few questions I have are:

HD sundowner seat - movement? I only had a HD Hammock seat on this bike when purchased, and the LD seat I run now.
Headlight programming - Legal in VA - cost for dealer to do? Need to check what mine do currently
black shift linkage - source?

My dealer charged a 1/2 hour labor to make my passing lamps stay on when high beam is on.
