Yeah me too, I couldn't stop laughing while I was reading that ..... I wondered what woke the OP , up the neighbors or his alarm clock ...sorry could not resist.
That quote from my friend was so funny that I had to share with my fellow H-D riders.
Dan D, did you al so noticed that the bike has plenty of Mexico stickers on it, almost every electric cable has one.
Wiring must be cheaper in Mexico I think
Just as a heads up for fellow FB owners. I installed Oberon adjustable levers over the winter. Upon bringing the bike out this season I was chasing a weird new idle situation. When coming to a stop the idle would raise a few 100 RPM right before coming to a stop with the clutch lever pulled in. Once I came to a complete stop the idle would drop back to normal. Fearing it was the infamous composite plastic intake manifold issue I reinstalled the OE levers yesterday evening. Low and behold the bike is 100% back to normal.
Just love this. I am getting similar comments too, even on the standard tyres my 114 turns in and catapults out of the corner. I am just about to fit V&H slip ons, and will eventually work up to a Stage 4 - also like the look of this S&S 124 MegaBob kit

On our ride two weeks ago R1 leads the first leg followed by the 899 then myself and a CBR500. When I had my Road Glide they would be so far ahead but not this time. I was keeping up with their pace and on their tails. Next leg 899 leads but we get stuck behind some cars. I saw an opening and I ended up leading and leaving them behind until we got to our stop. My friend with the 899 says I pinned the gas and saw you were still pulling away, I thought something was wrong with my bike. Didnt know the fat bob was that fast Last Sunday after we finished our ride my 899 buddy says I cant ride with you anymore cus you make me ride faster, when I following you in the corners I was saying to myself theres no way a Harley is faster than me and Im on a sport bike.
Cant wait to take the Fat Bob to the track along with my RSV4. Btw my 899 friend is looking at buying a Fat Bob 114 now. Haha!

That is weird, I have the adjustable Rick's levers on mine and no problem at all, I also don't see what livers may have to do with idle.
Trust me, no one is as baffled as I am but I had hard proof this morning on the ride into work. I was working with Jamie at FuelMoto on this issue. He had sent a modified tune that rid the bike of about 80% of the idle flare and the next step was replacing a possible faulty throttle body to intake manifold gasket or cracked intake manifold. The intake manifold is now a composite plastic that has been known to crack and cause different idle issues on the M8 motors.
I wasn't comfortable with the brake lever placement and feel so I had planned to remove them anyway.
