I bought the 107 specifically because it will get better fuel mileage than the 114. (The 107 has more than enough torque for my riding.)

I make a game out of getting good mileage. I think the two biggest factors in good mileage are:

I am not in a hurry to get anywhere.
I use cruise control 99% of the time.

YMMV

On a 1700 mile round trip to Austria, refilling my 114 regularly saw a range of over 200 miles. Riding with a Multistrada 1290, Superduke 1290, Tracer 900 and Caponord 1200, we would easily cover 160 miles before needing to tank up.

That's pretty much the exact average MPG I am getting on my longer rides. Even while ripping it on the interstate at around 90 mph I was still getting around 45 mpg. These 114's do pretty well on fuel mileage especially while taking it easy on the throttle.

Default So many questions

I have been looking through here for a while, but I'm not seeing much discussion on a few things.
1. Bars.
Are you all happy with the stock bars, or have any of you brought them up and/or back, and what setup did you use?
2. Footboards.
Harley does not list any foot boards as fitting the fat bob. I'm not looking for something giant, it's just hard to keep my foot on the peg without hitting the brake, and being able to rest my heel on it would be nice. Something like a mini board that flares out a bit around the brake pedal?
3. Mirrors.
I can't see anything but my shoulders, and thus can't see cars directly behind me. I tried to flip the stock mirrors to go under the bars, but they hit the tank at full lock. I know if I get higher bars, that problem may go away on its own.

If anyone has any input, it would be appreciated.

Can't comment on footboards as I prefer pegs.
I installed 3" riser extensions which helped my comfort considerably, it also put the mirrors in the perfect spot for me to see.

I am happy with the bars. Might go with a 2" riser extension in the future, but other than that I like them a lot.

Footboards - I hate footboards. I might go with some BMX style larger platform pegs though.

Mirrors. Yep - the stock ones suck. Mirror extenders or longer stemmed and angle adjustable mirrors are your friends here. I recommend the Motogadget M-View ones as they are optically excellent, there is no glass to break and they look cool.

I moved mine down, towards me to the 15 degree mark. My arms are not so stretched and my back now sits comfortably against the seat back.

Default Brake Pedal Help

Brand new to the group, so forgive me if this has been covered previously in this thread.

Can anyone recommend a wider brake pedal? I'm installing a Rinehart Inverted Air Cleaner and it appears that I'm going to have to be pigeon toed to comfortably use my foot brake.

Any help and/or suggestions would be appreciated!

Check out DK Customs for floorboards that will fit the Fat Bob. You need the 45 degree angle and their M8 adaptors (link to adaptors on the floor board page of their website). I've only had them for a short time, but very happy so far. And echo others on getting long stem mirrors and/or extensions.
