Added the black ARP bolts to the side panels and gauge cluster. It's so much better. Here's a link if you're interested.
Looks way better in black, I made the oem's black with chemical black that is used to finish guns. You have this in cold or hot method, I use the hot method since I have this on hand for my "gunsmithing" .
That are all the oem bolts with mushroom heads, looks a bit cleaner then ordinary bolts and as said above .....I made the oem's black with chemical black that is used to finish guns.
I have all the stuff to finish guns, it is heated at 145°c or 293℉ , it al so exist in cold formula to but that does not work as good as the heated formule.
Custom dynamics sent me a led taillight to review. This thing looks amazing! Taillights are integrated. All plug and play no splicing. Can connect old turn signals As well with the female plugs already wired up.
I was looking at their kit to swap all 4 incandescent bulbs to LED clusters ... if this would work WITH that I think it would be amazing for rear visibility! And all plug n play for both? Deal!

yup it has female connectors for your existing turn signals so all you have to do is plug them in
I just signed paperwork for a 2018 FXFBS 114. She only has 1300 miles! First service done.
Anything the 2018 models often suffer from that I should seek to insulate against? Ive heard common in hot climates (Texas) that they composite intake manifold overheats and warps... is that as common as some make it sound?
Plans are VH Big Shots and FP3. Lower it an inch. HD Cruise control. Dougz spartan fairing. The LED items above. About it (for a while)...

Congrats on the new ride! I live in NM and mine has been fine. It gets pretty darn hot in the summer. One thing you may want to keep an eye on is excessive oil out of the breather bolts. Mine was pushing enough oil out to saturate the bottom of my air cleaner and start dripping out all over the side of the bike.
They had to replace the oil pump plate to an updated version from the 19's and up and that resolved the issue. If it's dripping oil out of the air cleaner, don't accept it as normal. Not a drop out of my breathers since.
Other than that this bike has been solid and a ton of fun to ride. Enjoy!
