The Everything Fat Bob Thread
If I attempt to downshift from 4th to 3rd because traffic is slowing down, I won't release the clutch until I feel the gear shift, which takes multiple tries 90% of the time.
I have the same problem either way.
I think it will go away, or your technique with improve with time. I know you've already had one, but it sounds like you're just riding poorly (no offense).
You can always let out the clutch, then do it again.. it should work then.
Both the S&S SuperStreet 2-1 exhaust and the S&S Grand National 2-2 exhaust have catalytic converters in them which make them EPA-compliant.
Any aftermarket exhaust other than a Screamin' Eagle installed by a Harley-certified dealership mechanic within 60-days of purchase will void your warranty. Your VIN will be locked forever if a Harley mechanic plugs your ECM into their Digital Technician II software and it detects changes from an aftermarket electronic fuel injection tuner.
My local dealership tells me that these S&S full exhausts, like many slip-ons, are made so as not to require a dyno, an EFI remap, or a Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner.
I had wanted to install a TBR 2-1 exhaust, but after hearing this, I think it would make more sense to install the S&S 2-1 (no dyno expense, no Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner, & it has a catalytic converter in them). Just curious to see if anyone has experience with these exhausts (the SuperStreet 2-1, in particular).

I've got the S&S Grand National 2 into 2 full system that has NO cats. They make both with and without cats versions. Really like the look and it sits high enough where scraping is not an issue. I would think ANY full system woul need at least a tuner to get the most out of it.

, ...... I often think the same with those high T-bars or sissy bars on an FXFB(S)
