Default Anyone with a Sport Glide running a saddlemen seat?

I'm considering changing out my seat. I love the way the saddlemen step up looks, but I also like how the explorer looks too. Do either of them move you closer/further away/lower/higher than the stock seat? I have a reduced reach seat on there now, because I needed a more positive back stop to hold me in, since the stock seat didn't have that. Any recommendations? Before I had put the reduced reach seat on, I didn't have issues really reaching the controls (aside from the bars, but they're taller now so that wouldn't be a problem).

I have a Saddlemen road Sofa on my Sport Glide. It doesn't look too bad with a sissy bar attached.

Saddlemen seat plus top case

I just put on the Saddlemen Step-Up on mine and I love it so far. Took about 200 miles to break it in, but now its comfy as can be.

I'm guessing, was the Saddlemen seat a bit stiff when new?
How is the ride height compared to your stock seat?
The Saddlemen fits nicely on your bike, I'm looking for something to keep me from sliding back, don't want to spend a lot right now for a custom seat.

Yeah it was a bit stiff when I first installed it, but the paperwork from saddlemen said it would take a little while to settle in.
I feel like the seat brings me up about 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch and back about 3/4 - 1 inch. Which suits me perfectly cause I am 6'1" and it allows me to stretch my legs a little.
It locks me in place when I twist the throttle and gives me a little bit of back support.
Over all I'd say its worth the investment.

Tell ya what I've said before several times. Aftermarket has not caught up, whats on the market sux.
The only option you have is buy one and have a seat guy redo it to your specs and comfort.
Stock seat is ok for me, for now, I'm waiting to see what the custom guys begin to offer in the future.

I'll give you a for instance: you see those high backed lumbar support seats? They dont allow you to let the scoot go in a bad situation, youre restrained.
I prefer a small amount of lumbar supprt, and if need arise I need to let that scoot go the seat didnt keep me stuck on the scoot.

Some of you know what I'm talking about. Been ridin since I was 10, pops was a die hard WWII come home biker. He saw that I learned to ride. Too many hold on too long trying to save the scoot. Bad move.
