Just now seeing this. my 2020 Lowrider S makes the same noise, more noticeable when it's up to operating temps. It's the balancers. I've been running the snot out of it, and am not worried. Several other M8 owners I know, softies and baggers say they have the noise. One guy has almost 20K on his.

Any chance you could post a sound clip of yours? I'm frequently around a large number of M8's, both Softail and Touring, and none sound like my Heritage. My SGS doesn't do it either. Thanks either way.
I dropped mine off at the dealer today for the squeak/squeal.
Neutral has been no trouble for quite a while now.
Currently at 4,819 miles.
Bike ready, could not duplicate noise - haha! I somehow knew that would be the case. I played the sound clip for the tech and he said he "didn't hear that".
We'll just keep rolling up the miles and see what happens.
I'm not pissed and I'll figure it out sooner or later.
FWIW My 2020 FXLRS sounds exactly the same as the video posted by 702.
I havent noticed it affect performance in any way. However it is a tad annoying to hear from time to time but have resigned to accept this as just being part of the M8s motor characteristics.
Thanks for your reply. Odd the couple I test ride didn't sound that way. Again a bit better - after break in service. Input on this thread seems to indicate it's the counter-balance action.

Yes it does, and it may be.....
I may decide to live with it unless the 2022 model has a color she like better. She chose this Black Jack Metallic because she like it better than the other offerings, but still doesn't like it much. If they suck I'll paint it for her, then do a little engine work and destroy the warranty
702, took a video with my phone, can't get any sound when opening it from my email, or to save as, to post here. I'm not very savvy with technology, LOL.
