They all fit and in a very few cases I ground down the latch side of the speaker rim about 1/32 to 1:16 so they did not vibrate up against the lid on the outside of the speaker.
As for the transition from HT Speakers to the drop in set-up, I had to get rid of the tweeter bridge. So in order to do this u only want to eliminate the bridge part, enter the Dremmel. Whack the bridge part off and secure the surviving piece in place with silicone to get it nice and water tight and whala, a flat platform for dropping 6x9s in. Now not sure how the lids are delivered when u don't get the HY speaks with them but u do want to make certain u have something to fill that gap or u will get water in bags. U might ask HT how the address that issue as they r designed to be used w HT speaks. I'm certain there is a non redneck engineering way to have these delivered.

2. They fit mine perfect after original 30 minute mod.

Below is a pic of than damn tweeter stuffed in there.

Thanx T,

The bass inside the bag is the key ingredient to putting a 6.5 component in the lid. It totally completes the rear stage, that is needed for well rounded sound.

I do feel that the "right" 6.5 component delivers a bunch more SQ sound to the rider at hwy speeds and a shix tin more at 40 mph but the "right" 6x9 can do also the same.

Ok, I am getting the jist of it. Remove the tweeter and use the remaining piece to fill the gap in the lid. I just spoke with Brad at Factory Match and he said other some buy the kits w/o HT speakers and fab a piece to put in the gap. I think I will pay the extra $50 bucks for the HT speakers and do what you have done. Since your method has proven to be effective.

Thanx for your help, now I just need to lighten up my wallet.

I'm thinking that the 692's should be sufficient.

Thanx again
