Lol...it's actually the hinge side that's rattling. If I put pressure on the hinge cover it stops. Wth?

What year bike do you have? The reason ask is, the latch springs prior to 2010 were weak and were prone fail. The new springs PN:90707-00A are much more heavy duty. When you close the latch with these spring they snap shut.

This is what I'm talking about adjusting. Bend the tabs up just a bit and it will tighten up the latch.

It's an 09...still going to check that out!
Bates and haze...bent the tabs up alittle, readjusted the lid and no more rattle! Thanks guys for the info!!

My tabs are bent so far up, my lids lock so tight I sometimes can't tell if they are locked or just hard as hell to open!
