I ordered the amp, speakers, adaptor rings and amp install kit from Amazon. Still on the fence about the Head Unit, I like the appearance that the stock radio gives less obvious to prying eyes.
IIRC I can use the stock speaker output as input and will also turn the amp on when it's senses in out voltage?

I have never worried about prying eyes. The amount of time it would take to steal any of the audio equipment and the tools makes it highly unlikely/ Pop the face plate off and throw it in the saddle bag.

I live in the city and at times my ride will be outside overnight... But I see your point about the removable faceplate. I'm still waiting on parts to finish the cam swap so I have some time to figure things out. I have some ice and water shield I used in the past as a sound deadener and will put it on my outer faring.
