hello!
For my 2015 FXDL
I would like to change my stock handlebar for a short Zbar (3" high).
Does someone knows if I will have to change wires?
Thank you very much.
You're going to have to get them out of the stock bars and run them on the outside of the z bars. Took me a couple hours when I did mine. The z bars need dimples also
Thank you Fxrnutt!
By : "dimples", sorry but except on a woman face, I don't know what it means.
do you mean the hole under the middle of the handlebar?
So the stock wires are ok if I fix them out of the hole of the z-bar?
Sorry for my English. FXR and thanks again to you.
I'm not sure about internal wiring with the z bars...it'd be cool but fishing them through looks tough. Dimples are a recess for the wires where the go into the controls. I cut and soldered mine.you have to be careful to get everything back together exactly as it was for the can bus system. (Length, twisted pairs, good joints etc).glad to help. ..good luck
Because not sure about the fiting, I am back with some questions. Thanks in advance.
I have been told by my HD dealer that , it depends with the trade of the handebar and how the weld is Inside, to know if it will allow the wire to enter or not.
No one at this moment can tell me about the La Chopper outlaw handlebar. Will it be ok or not?
Does anyone knows?
Thank you.
Your English is better then some of the people I know from my town.
I believe biltwell makes a similar z style handlebar, maybe look into those also.
Dear biker bro,
Thank you very much for this compliment. I try to do all my best and I love your langage.
I will have a look to the Bitwell. . Thanks again.
Philippe.
