The sprocket brake would work but I would still have to offset the tire and it looks odd even if handling isn't compromised. Without a fender, the tire offset is pretty obvious.

they make a .250 primary spacer for twin. Then you would have no problems I think

Yeah. I don't know anything those spacers/kits. Seems like I would need more bits to make it work. I need to research them.

This looks more like what I would expect to need for a primary offset kit, but I'm not sure if all that is still required for a measly 1/4"....

Rather than experiment (and risk catastrophic failure) I'll probably just run a 180 this year and save for an offset kit and move on up to a 240 next year.

Got my seat from Chris at Redtail Leather today! I still need to finalize location and fab/weld the mounts, but I like it. This is the second seat I ordered from him. The first was way too small. I wasn't too sure, so the first one was just a bare pan.

Wow! Your going deep (and wide) with this one! Redtail makes some of the best seats out there!

That offset kit sounds like you can run a 250mm tire, just need the swingarm. I might experiment with this one and let ya know how it goes

I went ahead and ordered a Avon Cobra in 180/70-16 (and matching tube) from Jake Wilson last night. Not my preferred solution, but it will get me back on the road yet this spring.

Got the electrical box more-or-less done tonight.

You can just barely see the coil and wires peeking out under the seat frame...

The stock cover will fit but I have other plans...

I hate how far out and aft it sits...

So I made this one. Its about an inch narrower and the front edge sits parallel to the battery box. The radii also matches the battery box.

I still have to drill the mounting holes and have some concerns about cooling the coil so I've got some plans for that too. Gonna press some raised stainless wire cloth to go in the fore/aft box ends.
