Did a few searches and found some basics but not exactly this question.
Who can tell me if the've run the Harley brand daymaker vs. one off Amazon (e.g. Eagle Lights)? Did you notice a difference? I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, but I'm also a firm believer in Harley is proud of their ugly baby.

Thanks for the feedback.
I can sort of answer your question. I have one of the Chinese ebay LED headlights and my buddy has the official Harley Daymaker. The biggest difference is that my headlight shoots a straighter beam, whereas his seems to really flood the entire road. His light seems to project a whiter light whereas mine is more of a blue shade. Having said that, I'm not sold that difference in cost is worth it. Both headlights are very bright. If you just like dropping extra cash or get a good deal, I'd say buy the H-D, otherwise the knock will get the job done.

I'm not in the business of paying more for a product just because the name. I was just worried there was a huge difference. I had a close run in with a deer the other night and need to make a change. Thanks for the feedback!
I have seen knock off day makers vs the first Gen. H.D. version in side by side comparison and have found little to no difference.
I have a bit of a review in my build thread for my FXDXT on this forum site if you feel like looking at that.

i have the a set of the Eagles on my 08 Ultra Classic and love them. My buddy has the Harley Davidson ones and other than he paid more than i did they're really not that different when we ride at night. I bought my eagles off Amazon and have no regrets. I too am a firm believer in not paying the premium just for the name. FYI eagles aren't knock offs they are the real deal

Outstanding, I am ordering mine now! Good looking out, this should be a good upgrade!
I have both. I have a HD Daymaker in my Iron 883, and a Wiisamic knock off in my Street Bob. I would buy the knock off again without a doubt. It is just as good in every way, and cost 1/8 of what the Daymaker cost. I bought the legit one before I learned better.
