1994 Dyna Neutral light

1994 Dyna Neutral light
Hello. I am new to the forum as well as Dyna HD's. I've got a 94 and when i rev the the engine the neutral light fades out. Is this a sign of an electrical problem like charging and such? It has a new and charged battery.

It's not an uncommon issue. There is a neutral switch that has two wires going to it. They have either barrel or spade lugs on it that can get loose over time which causes the light to flicker or go out.
On my 03 the switch is on top of the tranny. The switch has two pins sticking out of it that have two wires with round connectors that push down over the pins. They get loose sometimes and I pinch them with some pliers and put them back on and it solves the problem for a while.
It's a Harley. It's the law in some states.

Why are you revving it in neutral?

I was concerned because it is more of a fade out than a flicker from ,say, vibration. Because of this I thought maybe the ignition load was drawing more than the generator could keep up. I guess if that were true the headlight would dim.
