I put the hd forwards on my '09 steet bob.
I also ordered the kury anti-rattle clip. The instructions say to attach it to the shifter
arm with a 5/16" bolt--not the case with mine--I could not get the 5/16" bolt to go in
and eventually found out that my old shifter arm was tapped for an 8 mmx1" pitch (fine)
thread. Just a heads up to those with 09's.
I may be looking for parts to go back to the mid mount from forwards for a 07 street glide if anyone has them.
Put an offer in the classifieds. I'm sure some poor sap who just bought a nice new Dyna is looking to ruin it with forwards as we speak, and would trade you. Find a low rider to trade with, that way you'll get the highway pegs too.

Lol, I traded/sold my forwards for cash+brand new highway pegs from another forum member. Put my stock mids back on. For me it ended up being the right choice because I ride agressively. I'm still young and stupid.
Herr Monk, not everyone cares how there dyna handles. Comfort may be more important to them. However, I have found that forwards can be deceptive in the comfort arena. They put alot of stress on your tailbone. It all depends what you want out of your bike...doesn't make anyone wrong though, unless you are making their payments for them.

I'm kidding of course. I like to hassle people who switch to forwards because I think they are useless. I say if you really can't handle mids, go to floor boards, then at least you can move your feet around. I can't imagine anything is less comfortable than all your weight stuck on your tailbone for hours, with your feet out in front of you stuck in a single position.
I think it turns into one of those stupid "group think" things. I remember when I first got my dyna. Everyone I know, "You just need to stick some forwards on it." Non-stop, seriously, everyone. I figure I can be the jerk in the other direction bring a little balance. Spreading the word that it is cool to have control, and not a numb butt, even at the expense of clean lines.

I was bored and had no money for cool mods when I made the switch back to mids. I figured I put them back on to "remind myself that mids suck" just for $hits and giggles. I couldn't believe how much better I liked them!
