Best reason for putting a 2" tank lift on.
After I fitted the tank lift I could get to the wiring easy, To do handlebar change and sig relocate.

Question Relocation mounting bracket

The instructions say "Place the mounting bracket in position on the lower fork below the triple clamp."

Is there a problem putting them on opposite forks (LH on the right), upside down on top of the triple clamp? That's how I thought it was supposed to be until I saw the brackets were stamped LH and RH.

I'm sure the forks would bottom out first but I still don't like the idea of putting them under the lower fork brace.

I'm using the Harley Relocation kit.

You make it sound like I can put it on either side of the clamp. Am I right?

You answered my question. I'm going to mount them above the clamp. It shouldn't make a difference and I'll feel better.

Just so you know, this is on an '09 FXD Super Glide.

Thanks for your help
