Side mount plate mounting question

Default Side mount plate mounting question
Anyone that has a side mount plate where do you have them mounted? What bolt? Any pics? I was thinking about off the shock or the rear upper belt guard bolt. I think it looks a little goofy in some of these spots. Granted it's a horizontal style but I can't seem to make it look right. I want to get this mounted so I can remove the rear plate mount on my 09 bob. I know this may seem like a noob question to some but can ya help a brotha out.

I just picked one up off eBay and it bolts to the lower shock bolt. I found some Kuryakyn's that clamp to the swingarm but didn't like the ones I saw, by the way even though they advertise only up to '05 Dynas they fit newer ones too

Yeah, I already have one from road6customs on ebay. Maybe it's just the horizontal thing that's throwing me off. I Like the vertical style but it's illegal in WI and I don't want to give LEO's any reason to pull me over.

Here's mine. I got it off ebay but I think like you said it's illegal in WI. Mine bolts to the lower shock bolt.

Some bolt to the left side wheel axle bolt.

made mine from diamond plate and angle. bolts to the rear lower shock bolt. had to use a slightly longer bolt

I made one from 3/16 steel plate and some angle iron. Tucked it in tight so the inside edge is flush with the inside of the swing arm. Had to go with a longer bolt too.
