Default Drag bars for FXDC

Hello I'm new to the forum and am thinking about drag bars for my 08 super glide custom. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has done this. Can I do this myself? Who makes the best bars? Thanks.

I would get drag bars and risers as opposed to t-bars. The t-bars do not give you any adjustment. With risers and bars you can adjust the bars a little to get the angle of the bars just right. If you decide you want the bars taller or wider just buy a new bar or riser. Big saving should that occur. Wild 1 mikes nice risers and I personally like the narrow width bars. I have 6" risers with night train bars. Nice. Excellent control and just right height and width wise. Maybe sit on a night train or a fatbob at the dealersip to see which way you want to go.

I have Stock Night train drag bars from Harley, with 9" risers with 1/2" pullback. You
can definetly do this yourself very easy. Your stock cables will work so no need
to change them out.

West coast T bars. Best bang for your buck. Unless you got a tig welder, then you can save yourself some dough.

Thanks for the advice. I should have read the other threads before I posted. It looks like I'm not the only one who wants to do this.

If you find the T-bars that fit you right to begin with, then you don't have to worry about adjustment. I had mine installed because I wanted them internally wired and I generally don't like to F with any wiring.

Thanks, yes I have Jackyl's 2" tank lift and love it.

I spent a lot of time finding the right bars with the right fitment. It paid off as my hand position is perfect for me.
