Just picked up my new FXDF. Very pleased so far EXCEPT as soon as I pulled away I noticed the bars were not central in other words when riding straight on the bars/tree look like they are turned to the right slightly.
Had a quick check of wheel alignment with a piece of wire in hole forward of axle and the rear wheel appears to be OK although I cannot be 100% sure.
I'm riding this bike back from the UK to Switzerland on Monday and have no opportunity to take the bike back to the dealer between now and then.
Any ideas folks? If I can't sort this out myself then the trip is off
Mine were the same way. I just loosened them up an moved them around an that was that.. There rubber bushing so they will move..
Yep easy fix, loosen bolts on bottom of risers, turn bars so they are centered, tighten a bit, make sure they are still centered, finish snugging them up.
Ditto... I worked on the fall away on my Wide Glide and after the bars were turned right but I was going straight. Loosened the risers then re-tightened them up and it was better. Still just a tad off, might have to loosen them up again and put a little preasure on the left sie as I tighten them up.
