Hey what's up, I'm new to this forum, just followed your steps I have a fat bob, but looks like I'm going to have to put 6 1/2 " bolts because even with the half " spacer it will still hit the oil pan, got to by some more washers just for the left Sid to clear the pan. Did you have this issue? My kick stand is in the way, our I would have enough of a width to cradle amnd clear the pan. Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Still do not understand the need to do this, just how far are you shoving the lift under the bike? Never been an issue on mine, not even close. When that bar contacts the stand, it is time to start raising the bike.

I know it's a bit off the subject but this particular red, motorcycle lift from Sears is currently on sale on their website for $78.29 and you can p/u in store as well. I think they said the sale will last until the 18th of this month.

That's what I paid for it plus it was waiting at front of store didn't have to hump it from back of store! $119 at store if you just walk in.

Default Smaller front wheels, anyone?

Thanks Vic for the greatest thing (thread) since sliced bread.

I've done the mod with 1/2" spacers, and it lifts my Fatty perfectly.

Now the question:

Has anyone found / used slightly smaller wheels on the front of the jack?

I'm a crummy 1/2" away from being able to use this jack, as is, on my old lady's lowered Sporty. The left pad is hitting the bottom rear of the frame just in front of the rear tire.

I've lowered the pads as much as humanly possible. I've put a little "bunk" on the forward side of the jack for the lock release bar with my grinder. That got me a whole inch. Now the bottom of the left pad is actually touching the front left wheel.

Now I know I can just run the bike up on a 1-by and problem solved, but I'm so close that my warped personality just won't let it go.......

Thanks in advance for the help. Several thousand minds are better than one.....
