Default Wiring issue --please some help

Hi Guys,

I am trying to install some speakers to my FXDC, I got the sound of crome which have a decent sound, the issue I am facing is that I attached it to the battery so when I turn my bike off, the speakers stay on, so I wanted to see where I went wrong so I can connect it to the accesory plug so when the bike is off the power to the speakers is off too, incase I forget to turn them off I dont run out of battery

On my 08, there is a "customer accessory connector" under the seat. 4-pin.
color code (which most likely is the same as yours)
Pin-1: Orange on Red (+ power - switched)
Pin-2: Red on Yellow ( I think is brake light )
Pin-3: Orange on Red (+ power - switched)
Pin-4: Black (- power - ground)

So I would connect to either pin 1 or pin 3, for switched power. This circuit is a 15a circuit, just so you know.. with a 50w system, you pull maximum about 4 amps.

I have the wiring diagram archergodwin is referring to in my

***Dyna Models Wiring Diagram Links Index***

Go there and click:

2008 all dyna dom. & int. models (except FXDWG, FXDC, FXDF) main harness page 1 of 3

One addition: Use pin 4 for ground.

Check out this thread for more info on the customer accessory connector: Deutsch pin size

yeah... looking back on that, I probably didn't make that clear enough...( - power ground) would have been better translated into 12v negative ground.... lol
