Angry Ignition Fuse blows every time......

Bike wont start. Turn key on to on position, lights come on, click switch to run and POP, Ignition fuse blows every time. Swapped out Ignition relay as a precaution, still same result.
Recent bar swap, bike was running after this was done.
Going to check the wiring at the switch housing on the ignition side.....any other ideas?

Thanks

John

Pull the control off the bars and see if it still shorts out. Not unheard of to take a little time between installation and a short, things vibrate on a Harley.

Check you haven't pinched a wire between the switch housings when swapping the bars. That'll be my bet.

Would definitely check the wires in the housing but also check your battery terminals I had the same problem and it was a loose connection. Just one of the many mysteries of electronics

The exact same thing happened to me.It was the wires that feed in the bottom of my drag bars. One wire was a little chafed and was grounding on the bars.Took an afternoon to find it.

Def. a short somewhere as already mentioned. So to find it you will have to start taking this apart and inspecting your wiring to find out. Sometimes they are real easy to find and sometimes they can be a pain. I hope you find it quick and get it sorted out.

Updating an old thread....you guys were right again! The ignition switch wires got pinched between the bars and the switch housing when it was clamped shut. The vibration of the bars cause the wire sheathing to get stripped off and the shorted out when I turned the ignition on, blowing the fuse every time......
Thanks for the help, sometimes I make stuff more difficult than it has to be....over thinking a problem is sometime worse than not knowing what to do.....
