V INERR Error Code on Start-up
I have V INERR, hard starts with a hot engine, and recently it will randomly stall when approaching a stop.
The scoot has also thrown the following codes: P0507 (ECM mileage) & P1632 (high idle)

Both times it happened were after I took apart the trottle grip control module and adjusted the throttle cables, related to my bar change and mirror relocation. I don't think it has anything to do with the battery. Mine is good and I ride almost daily, so I don't think it's due to low voltage.
I saw _Gir_ reposted several threads about the same error and it seems that each is related to something different...like the one about the VIN mismatch in the ECM (weird).
Mouth, don't you have electronic throttle control on that new RKC?
On my bike, if I cycle the fuel pump (killswitch) twice before starting it, it will trigger the code...
I adjusted my throttle cables the night before after installing riser extensions.
That's 3 times, each after opening up the right grip control module to adjust cable tension...and yes, I know I don't have to open it to adjust them, but I like being able to see the cables in the grip as I do it.
If it is a gremlin, it seems to be living between my throttle body and right grip.
I put the bike on a tender and found it was running perfectly for the next three days. No engine malfunction, and no V INERR on start up. On day three it was left off a tender and all the symptoms returned, minus the engine failure. I concluded it was a battery issue and bought a new battery. I also read several threads about the V INERR code and saw that many people think it is associated with a bad battery cell, or poor connection somewhere. It's been a few days and so far there has been normal engine performance and no V INERR error. I'm not sure if the new battery took care of everything or not, but so far so good.

Just before my warranty ended, I took it to HD and had them give it one last try. The tech tried to tell me it was a VIN mismatch error at first, but after I showed him all the hdforum posts on my phone about it, he agreed to dig a little deeper.
My battery passed a load test, and there was nothing wrong with the starter. His theory is that it as to do with "too many" accessories putting too much load on the electrical system.
I doubt that's the cause since I switched all my lights out to LED which draw less than stock, and only added a mini-beast horn and a 12V accessory port, neither of which draw a load unless I press the "horn" switch or plug something into the 12V port.
Anyway, I've accepted it as the price of doing Harley business and just make sure to plug in the battery tender if I don't plan on riding for a couple days to keep it away.
