Making progress, throttle body off, and rocker covers off. The gaskets on the rocket covers were stuck on pretty well, used a sharp edge box cutter and gently pried them off, still will need to clean up the gasket surface quite a bit.

These types of experiences(including your struggle with the circlips) drove me to buy the circlip tool, hopefully it will help me with those tricky devils!

Is the cam chest next. .? Or are you cutting out your PR's. I cut mine doing cams, haven't done rocker boxes before but know you have to get to TDC to take it off.

Edit: Nevermind. Can just lift the PR tubes to find TDC.

Alan,

Can we get a live stream setup? Just prop that cell phone up so we can tune in. . .

Soft02
You got me worry now coz I had a hard time installing the circlip, took me a few attempts. hopefully I didn't screw anything up. So what did you do to the clip? Are you saying they weren't in place? I am sure I did but the clip tension might have gotten soft after a few installation. Cross my fingers!

Dont know how. It snapped in then at around 10k it made the bad noise. Done many of them so its not like it was my first time. Luck of the draw. Going to try and find a set of spiral clips instead. HD tool doesnt work with the 107 kit I was told.
