Yah becareful when you do it. I pinched one of the seals and later on after dicking around with it found out that it wasn't running right was due to the leak by the manifold. Had to lift the tank and other BS and remove the tbody to but a new seal in to make sure all was seated right.

It's solid now. just double check everything when you do the t body cause like you said it tough to get to some of those screws.

Question, don't you mount the breather filter above the vent holes? That's what I am told, correct me if I am wrong

Had to adjust it a couple of times to fit properly in relation to the HPI tb. Speaking of the HPI, tried to get that baby in tonight but could not get the cam side fasteners started - not much room in there! Ran out of time, will give it another go soon.

I'm not venting to the atmosphere but to a filter, don't think that should be too criminal

I have read the opposite - don't fight gravity. Seems to make sense doesn't it? I mean that oily ooze would run downhill back to the cylinder heads if the hoses went up instead of down.

I'll look those seals over real well before I try again, thanks. My younger son is getting married on Saturday so not sure when I can get some work in...

What if the oil fill up the hose, it might start dripping from filter. Just my thought

I agree with alex. the blow by oil is clean and should be allowed back down ti the pan especially since you have a filter to keep particulates out.
Also I agree that you will eventually get oil dripping onto your crank case cover.

Oil should go back in the pan through the holes I enlarged on the rocker supports. The only thing that should exit the cylinder is mostly clean air/vapor. If you over serviced your engine oil there may be more than vapor but just service your oil properly and that should not happen. Now with my filter, the vapor/air will be cleaned and allowed to exit, and if there is any oil which should be minimal, it will be trapped in the filter and will not go into the cylinders. If for some reason a lot of oil gets through to the filter, I will see the filter get dirty and change it out and probably try to determine why so much oil is getting through my breather system. Really I don't see much of a reason to run it above or below the exit at the cylinder heads if everything is operating correctly. Anyway, a good discussion for sure, enjoying the feedback

Im with ya. I vent to atmosphere and now with 620 miles I see a light residue on the AC bracket. No biggie though. You should be fine.
