Short shots?

Work fine for me. And compared to other pipes. The V&H staggered shortys are quiet! Friends of mine run Sampson, freedom and many other pipes.. mine are the most quiet of the bunch! Also, my pipes do not seem to backfire as many other shortys I have seem/heard on the road..

Wrapping pipes makes them run a lot hotter. Heat fatigue (expanding and contracting) makes them crack sooner than normal. The better thicker pipes hold up OK. But won't last as long as unwrapped pipes. However nothing lasts forever. Try it if you like the look.
Nothing wrong with short shots if you like them. And aren't looking to get as much as you can outta your ride. I used to prefer short drag pipes too. Until I realized how much power I was leaving on the table. Even with modified drag pipes that had anti-reversion steps to help.
