Yep, riding in the rain sucks. I invested in good rain gear since in the NC mountains, it can rain with a 0% chance of rain. I hate it but if I want to do any riding at all, I have to plan to ride in the rain. You can hit a rain spot in NC that lasts for 1 mile and thats it.
Am not a big fan of huge tracts of chrome, so I replaced the chrome primary cover today with a wrinkle black one. Here is before (before is also before t-bars and battery cover)
And after:
I'm real happy with it. And the chrome primary is going to another member here who likes chrome better then I do! A win-win.
You have a very nicely done LR. That seat looks real comfortable.
man that black primary looks so much better i was thinking of doin the same! so tired of cleaning the chrome. chrome is for people that dont actually use it
That exhaust is bad *** looking! How does it sound? I'm looking for just a deep rumble not that super loud fart sound.
I spent a year researching what exhaust to get for my LR. I watched 1000s of videos. I ended up going with the V&H Big Shots. They had that nice deep rumble that sounds so good. I posted a video from youtube of a Wide Glide that had them.
MCChad That black Primary looks great. How much did that run you? I really want to do that to mine as well. I'll be playing with some plasti dip as soon as it arrives. Looking forward to getting rid of the chrome on the battery box and the triple trees. Might do the eyelid and light. I haven't pout the bars on yet. I will probably give that a go. Been insanely busy since i got home. I haven't rode her nearly as much as i wanted to. It should drop out of the 90's later this evening and i'll give her a good run to Auto tune it.
