You paid $300 for used cams? Aside from the fact that they're not even 204 cams. Dude, shop around...
I offered $250 and they accepted, ended up being about $277 after tax and shipping. Don't know why it says $300. They were supposed to be NOS or New Old Stock. The first couple of times I looked I couldn't find them anywhere so I thought they were discontinued and that this was a good deal. I found them in a couple of other places since then and ordered a brand new set for about $289 with a promo for free shipping.
This post is almost two years old but illustrates what one can find with a little patience and looking around. The SE204 cam is underrated IMHO and they can be found pretty cheap from sellers that want to replace them because they are HD cams.
I have built several "budget" builds around that cam and they were all runners; just takes the right setup.

That reminds me, I almost did order the '06 and later version. Had it in the "cart" and everything, was going to go checkout and thought I'd better double/triple check. Sure enough it's a different part number. 25464 is the later one, 25149 is for the earlier bikes.

I agree, paying $300 for a used cam would be retarded. I guess I just assume people know what new old stock is.. or is supposed to be, anyway.
I even did a quick search of Harley's site before I made an offer and couldn't find it there. Should have looked harder since I've found it, or a link to it from google anyway, still can't find it on a search from their main site.

i almost have done the same getting cams for my 05. Gotta watch that little detail. I looked around for the same cam as you. Read several posts talking about finding them cheap. I never found the cam and for sure didnt find those used cheap ones either. After adding several other cams to the list, I still could not find that deal. So I eventually went New. I had spent a year looking for the deals I kept hearing about, I tired of it and decided to just buy a new cam, the money saved wasnt worth the time, nor the headache that comes from buy parts that are mislabeled. I hate it when that happens like what you have. Im sure some one bought the 204 cams and then put the stock ones in the new box, years later someone else gets the box and just doesnt know.
