Default Hard Start 2010 CVO Street Glide

Greetings,
My 2010 CVO Street Glide with 66K miles is hard to start. I changed the fuel pump but the issues remained. The voltage at the battery is within specs. It cranks but it seems like the starter is not strong enough to start the scoot. What I noticed is that after the third attempt to start, the radio and odometer "reset" as if the battery was disconnected. The odometer goes to showing the total miles when I have it in "miles left to empty." There is no discharging issues, and besides from the fuel pump, nothing has been added. The battery keeps the voltage, and at idle the rectifier and stator seem to be working at 3000 RPMs.
Here is the caveat that makes me rule out the starter, there is a loud noise that comes from the stator/compensator area, Like metal clunking. In the video it is hard to hear, but you can hear how it struggles to start. Here are my guesses:
1. Starter
2. Compensator
3. Stator
4. Loose ground
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
NOTE: I had one of my senior moment....I just realized that I posted yesterday in the primary/clutch section. I tried to delete this one but I do not see the option.

Have you put a volt meter on the battery while cranking? If it drops down to around 9volts its time for a battery. Resetting your radio and odometer like that is usually from low voltage.

Battery warn out. But start with 4 at both battery terminals.

Then charge and load tested battery out of bike.

Work in progress, I'll post back the results. Thank you!

The voltage dropped to 8.11V. At idle and at 3000 rpms voltage was 13.6V. I guess is time for a new battery. It fooled me because it holds charge, and no issues. Only at start up.

I had the same hard staring issue but with coughing out the air cleaner. Eventually it pulled down the battery and would have to charge it. The only way I could start the bike was by cracking the throttle open while cranking, needed more air.. 13.6 volts at 3000rpm is low. Might want to do a stator and regulator test by the book.

Thank you for your input. I just received the manual. Will do a test stator and rectifier by the book and report back. I am waiting for the battery to arrive Tuesday. Thanks again

Just reporting back.
I bought a new battery, installed and did a voltage drop test. Results 14.3V at the battery at 3000 RPMs.
Stator ground test: Stator plug reading in all 3 holes results infinity ohms (passed).
Open Stator test: Stator plug holes 1,2; 2,3; and 3,1 results in 0.000 ohms (passed)
Stator AC Output: Stator plug holes 1,2 at 2000 RPMs 38VAC (passed). The SM says 32-45. At 3000 RPMs, 55VAC.

Conclusion, the three year old battery was dropping to 8V, and it fooled me. I thought it was in good condition but it was not enough for this scoot. I'll put everything back together and gonna ride it. Once again, thanks to 98hotroadfatboy, Lonewolf176. Jackie Paper,
