Amazon lost the cam position somewhere in shipping...so theyre sending another one.
Meantime.....I replaced the starter and on/off switches. I figured it might help because the starter will do the click click or do nothing at all sometimes.
Anyways, it only blows the fuse when I hit the starter button on the handlebars. It doesnt matter if the switch housings are screwed down or not.
I can start the bike with the button on the starter and it works fine.
I'm looking at a97 FLHTCUI manual.
If you have a Black and Red wire coming off the start button, find a way to connect and Ohm meter to the BK/R wire.
Black meter lead to Neg side of battery and Red meter lead to BK/R wire at start button.
Ignition OFF
You should not get reading at all. If you do get a reading that wire is chaffed or torn and causing short to ground which will blow a fuse real quick.
That wire goes straight to the starter relay.

That was bad wire....
It somehow got a tiny nick in the wire just barely showing copper during installation. I even wrapped it in electronic tape and it still got chaffed.
