So Im in need of a carb and I plan to build the engine up more.
1996 Evo HD 95 bore kit, screaming eagle heads, mild cam, v&h true duals. I was very happy with my 40mm CV stock slide jetted 45/195 at the coast and over the Rockys above the tree line.
I use my bike for touring sometimes 5,000+ mile trips.

I also see that the Screamin' EagleŽ Pro Super Bore 44mm. 27934-99 carb is still a current part number and runs about $300...
I did find the Screamin' EagleŽ Pro Super Bore 44mm intake manifold 29636-99 as a current part to adapt the 44mm carb.
What is is the part number for the 51mm CV intake manifold? I found one for the Twinkie but I have a real Harley engine and not finding my answers.
You may want to do some more research, not aware of HD 95" Evo big bore kit but the down side of a big bore kit is the spigot bore needs opened up to accept a big bore kit and the spigot / lifter area is the weakest of a Evo plus cases will need split.
If your going to split a case installing a S&S 4 5/8 flywheel will produce a 89" engine and the most versatile Evo touring engine with stock cases, it can produce a street friendly 100hp/100tq engine and still work with a CV40 at 50/205 jetting. The extra stroke can pull a loaded bagger in any situation and dependable, ran one for many years.
Several members have formula's for your 80" that will get the job done with pistons, cams, head work. A 80" can really come to life with compression and mating components and not uncommon to pull a basic 103" TC, the little 80" can do what need plus get 42 mpg.
Carbs, understand your wanting a CV in elevation but keep in mind a 40 CV can be worked to handle as much HP your stock cased Evo can create in a dependable format, wouldn't spend all that money on a Pro Bore CV and intake when you have one that will work in your possession.
My carb started leaking out the overflow. I attempted to repair but **** happens. So....
I need a carb body, an ear that holds the float pin is broke. HD performance offered a 95 dealer kit back in the mid 90s for the evo. It is 9.2:1 compression if I remember correctly. It does run horrid on anything less than 90 octane and runs best on shell 93 or or anything 94.
My engine is strong and leak free. Compression is about all my starter and nEw Duracell AGM wants to take.
The 95 engine was never a hot 89 engine and does not compare in a lot of ways but does have a lot of grunt from 2200rpm up through 4400ish. It is by no means a high rpm engine but a lot of Twinkie owners boast significant power gains on an 88/96 in the 2k-5k rpm range and better fuel economy .
Also novelty factor is another motivation.
Either way a new carb is in my future. Both my Harleys have had CVs and i have put over 50k reliable miles of road underneath my bikes on CV and I do not have any plan to go s&s or Mikuni.
In the future an s&s 111 may be in store but as of now my oil still drains bronzed after 5k miles and my bike will still cruise 4500 rpms for hours @ 100mph and 1400lbs across the high desert of Arizona.
I did get this extracted from my cruise control carb and I have found others saying the 44mm plate can fit this shaft on a noncruise cv44 with a little filing.
Of you can find the 44 mm go with that. A 51 is going to be way too big for that build. I don't think you'll get any benefit out of it, so instead of trying to find something that ain't there go with the 44.....

Wood Performance builds one hell of a CV carb, they'll set it up to your engine specs. I get terrific performance and mid 40's all around economy and into the 50's on long hauls. If something happened to this one, I'd buy another.

i have the 51mm se big bore manufild an 44mm carb on my 99 evo. But apoarently they dont make it anymore. My intake seal was leaking i looked everywhere nobody has it an they dont make the seal anymore either. Alot off guys thought they knew but they didnt. So i purchased a nice back ordered se big bore intake that fits my 44mm carb. So by the end of my riding season i should have it.

You sure about that? Yes there is a 51mm manifold that will bolt on an Evo but they never made a 51mm intake that would accept a 44mm carb. They do have one that will accept a 40, 42 or 44 for TC or Evo that uses 2 different carb seals.
And yes, all that stuff mentioned by SJT is still available.
