When it rains it pours i guess. Only half of by exhaust came yesterday and of course it was just the slip ons not the headers. The headers are in limbo land. Per tracking they are still hanging out in Tennessee. They are suppose to be here tomorrow per tracking so we will see what happens there. On a good note, demon cycles cut me a deal on the bagger bars so we were able to make a deal. They I'm not going to complain about a couple bucks. Now let's see if they show up next week. Guy said they should of been shipped today at 5. So we will see. It's just a blast ordering parts online lol.
Well once the head pipes show up, if they ever show up from USPS I will be shipping the cylinders and heads to hillside to get the bases tried and the cylinders bored for the 10:1 pistons and a valve job. Going to have to wait until after this riding season to get the actually heads opened up.
So now that it's getting back to being warmer, Im starting.to tear it down. Removed the heat shields and see crappy welds that leak and look terrible.
so I picked up some 09-13 Vance and hines dual baggers with some moto jackpot slip ons up. We will see if they with and how the crossover pipe fits with the oil filter there. They should be here next week.
Those welds were made by 'Gravel Gertie"......, or maybe it was Keith, LOL.
By the joe bob style wiring I found they were not very good at it lol. But by the time I'm done it should be a lot nicer. I have been thinking about updating the radio and handle bar controls but that's a down the road thought.
If it were me I`d replace it with a modern radio and adapter kit....
Love these threads. This is why a forum exists! Keep us up with your progress!

Also I have been debating about going with adjustable pushrods with going with the ev13 cam. I'd imagine that with the adjustable vs set I'd get a little more out of the cam. A couple thousands is a a big difference. Not saying the set rods wouldn't use the full duration but if it opens 1.5 degrees soon and closes 1.5 degrees later. Just a late night thought. I probably won't be getting much done on the bike this weekend. Waiting on the pipes before I tear it down so I can see what it would take to have them fit. But I do have a spear house i need to build so that's the weekends plans. Plus then I'll have more storage for parts and hopefully dont have to worry about people knocking over my body parts that I have off like my gas tank. It's a good think I plan on painting the bike.
......... And it just keeps on snowballing, doesn`t it?

Thata the plan ones I get some early 90s controls. if I remember correctly they switch from an ohm switch to a voltage switch. Hard pill to swallow at 500 for a kit when that would pay for a head job to let it breath better lol.
