As i said in an earlier post, i have an extra tank that i bought for my 1990 which was wrong. never got rid of it. Come to find out, it is a 95-96 tank. so, my main concern was the ecm and wiring.
cruise adaptor ? please explain. are you using the Mikuni that came with the motor and if so what kind of adaptor ? pictures please .
My .02 cents worth........Stay with the 1.4 starter, Spike or All *****. I tried the bigger Ultima starter, never could get to turn over right, needed two battries to make it turn over. went with the All ***** and the Harley glass mat battery and every thing is great! Got an Odyssey setting on the Garage floor for the last year or so. It went down for me one year in Tenn, good thing I was on a hill at the Motel.
Did you compare All ***** to an Ultima of the same rated size? I can understand there being a difference in the amount of current needed to turn a bigger starter being more than a smaller, but curious if there is a noticeable difference between various brands with the same ratings.
I will get you some pics this afternoon, but yes, I am using the Mikuni that comes with the motor. Mchitch sells an adapter for the carb to keep your use of the cruise. I have heard good things about it. Hopefully it works like advertised. I am taking the ECM and wiring from it completely off. Shouldn't need any of it.
I have already ordered the 2.0 kw Ultima for it so hopefully that works fine. I will let you know how it turns out. Opted for this instead of the 2.4 b/c of what you expressed regarding battery draw. I made up some 2ga wires last night (way cheaper than buying them) to use as well.
I think I was wrong and now I am lost. I think I need an ignition harness for this thing. Ignition harness 32435-97. Only thing is, I can not find one anywhere. Please help everyone. There are three wires that I think I need to find out how to hook up without this harness. They are the black and white that goes to the starter/kill button on the hand control, pink that goes to the speedo, the one that goes to engine light. Please help me. I am desperate. I have the file for the wiring diagram for my bike to put on here but it is too large (in fact I have for anyone's bike and all manuals). Here is a pic of the barnett scorpion installed though. Thanks all.

Picked up the Ultima starter last year for my 127 w/comp releases, was inexpensive and works fine.
what model seat do you have on your 90 ? it looks like a 97 +. if so how did you mount it ? if you don't mind sharing you info.
