Well the ride did not go. The tranny will not shift out of neutral when bike is running. Shifts fine when not. Back to making adjustments tomorrow. The top end was extremely noisy for the first 4-5 start ups. Now it seems to have quieted down. Hopefully have a ride soon.

I had my Ultima prerun so I did not have the heat cycles to deal with but I did share a similar disappointment of having it run OK but was unable to get it to shift out of 1st gear once I got it in - even with the clutch lever fully pulled it was not enough to fully disengage the clutch with the engine running. My problem turned out to be one of those little Burly reduced clutch lever pressure kits, a short lever you put on to reduce clutch pressure, after I remove that it was OK. I have since installed the Energy One BTX-11 Extra Plate Kit w/springdisk and it is a little different to adjust, tends to grab a little later than I like, but seems to work OK and no slippage.
The top end on our 113 got much louder when I switched to synthetic oil, I am still considering going back to dino, as it was a very noticeable difference in noise level. I also ended up putting an oil cooler on, the oil temperatures were always above 200, most times 220 - now the oil temperature is 180 a lot of the time.
Overall I am pleased with the Ultima 113 setup, we have about 2000 miles on the engine and gas mileage is not as good as like but it sure seems to run good.
When you adjusted the clutch did you back the cable off completely then adjust the pushrod all the way in until there is no clearance then I back it off only about 1/4 turn or less then adjust the cable from there if you don't do that your not getting the full stroke from the actuator as the movement is not linear.
yeah....I posted my electrical problem on this forum if you want to check it out and give me some feedback...as far as everything else..its ok..I've gotten this far and can't get it to fire up.If anyone out there is thinking about puttin a 120" in an FXR frame I got tips for ya.
Paco,
Just got back from vacation down south. Did you replace or clean all of the oil lines including the oil filter mount?? Did you strip the oil pan down completely. There are numerous crevices that junk can hide in. If you cut the new lines did you flush them out? It doesn't take much to lock up an oil pump. You need to find out where the "crud" is or you will be putting another pump in for sure. Hope this helps.
Hi All, I have a 95 flhtcu and i am about to order an Ultima 127 ci and six speed tranny, probably from jirehcycles. I read through this thread and one other thread on Ultima engines and you guys have a lot of info. I am not sure if this is the right place to post but any help you can give me will be appreciated. I am just a backyard mechanic - pretty good at taking things apart but sometimes it takes forever to put things back together which i do not want to happen with this project - I need to ride everyday. I want to make sure that i have just about everything before i start, it would sure be nice to be done in 4 hours like classic beast but i do not think that will happen. So a few questions.
Will the 127 ci fit in my 95 flhtcu?
if the 6 speed builders tranny is not available should i get the softail tranny and gut it?
what ultima starter actually fits the 95?
can i use my existing oem stator, charging system?
will my current true duel kit (oem exhaust split) exhaust still work?
read something about fill spouts and spacers for tranny?
