Default which brand lifters you run?

I picked up a 94 st an it runs great an is a sweet ride. It has around 55K on the clock. An indy told me to consider replacing the roller lifters for piece of mind so one doesn't come apart an ruin my motor. Any thoughts on this an what brand do you run. It sounds like it has an after market cam in it too. He also recomends having the cam bearing inspected when replacing the lifters. Any info appreciated.

HD "B's"lifters are hard to beat in stock and mild camshaft engines but collasped (stayed collasped) a couple "B" lifters with a high rpm romps with a Woods cam, currently running the Ultima (Johnsons) and has been ok with the same riding style. Really struggle with the price of S&S, Jim's for 4 lifters and the Johnsons have been holding up in the 600 plus lift Ultima engines after they went to the Johnsons.

I had the rollers in a OEM lifter go bad on me at 49,000 miles. This was before the "B" revision, which eliminated the separate inner race and enlarged the roller axle. That ended up costing me a motor.

I run the improved lifters since then, but I DO change them every 40,000 miles for peace of mind. No problems with the "B" revison lifters so far.

Changing lifters is easy enough that I can do it myself in a couple of hours (once I installed quick install pushrods).

I'd also make sure the cam bearing is a Torrington B-138 (the good one). It SHOULD have been changed when the cam was changed, but you won't know if you don't check.
