Try the either. I've never had any problems using carb cleaner but what the hell it might work better.
Just got back with it.Battery needs a bit of charging.
When you installed your pistons how much did you stagger the gaps in your rings?
Guy who honed it set the stagger then put little dots on the piston to make sure they didn't move.
Lean means not enough fuel.
Get a multi-meter and check out your coil.
Got one but I couldn't find instructions for a single fire coil
If none of the above works get a Diet Dew and piece of cake and relax for a while.
I have drained my tank by putting a hose on the vacuum nipple on the back side of the pet ****, and just suck on it enough to get gas to flow. It does not take much, and you don't get gas in your mouth that way. I have drained three gallons that way. I do put a fuel line on the pet **** to drain the gas into a can. Be sure and have it in reserve to get it all out. If it does not drain when you suck on the vacuum nipple, that is your problem. They do go bad if the vacuum diaphram gets a hole in it. I took mine apart and put the spring on the other side of the diaphram so that it works like a normal pet ****. The other thing that can happen is that the vacuum line is leaking and not sucking on the diaphram.
Needless to say, that stuff is really flamable, a spark from a battery charger clamp could set it off. Disconnect the charger befor cranking. Just saying since your luck with this project has not been great...
