Evo top end(first timer)
Lifters will bleed off after being set 3 1/2 turns and is normal allowing the push rods to spin again, that is when you can turn the motor over or it will put a valve on top of a piston.
A 50 low and 200 high jets will be safe with your compression and uncover that air screw, 48/195 will work if needed. If it is stock ignition and the voes is working you have a safety net on timing.
Double check your work and take your time, A mistake at this point is money

I "think" I made one yesterday, could have been a big one too!Sure Hope not.But was moving to the next set of valves to adjust them, the first 2 pushrods WERE loose, so I put the bike in high gear and pushed it foward to get the lifters at the lowest point and heard something that I shouldn't have heard..will know today though. Thanks guys for all the help and advice!
pic of timing sensor.... stock or not?

When adjusting the pushrods, don't go by drag by spinning them,
move them up and down to feel the slack while lengthening them,
when you get to where the up and down slack is taken up, it's at zero lash.
You can even back them off and come back to zero a few times to get a feel for when there at zero lash.
Even though you soaked the lifters in oil, they're not fully pumped up, and can easily be adjusted past zero lash and still spin the rod freely,
I rather install new lifters without oil in them, just dip them in oil for a minute right before installing, adjust them, don't have to wait long for them to bleed down.
Then before you start the engine, remove spark plugs and spin it over for about 15 seconds at a time, until you see oil pressure, then do a couple more 15 second spins. Don't overheat the starter.
Also, so you can feel if something's wrong when rotating the engine,
with rear tire off the ground, put the trans in 5th and turn tire by hand, with plugs out of coarse.

To the OP...different pusrods use different number of turns because they have different TPI (threads per inch). Did the Rev Tech pushrods come with instructions on installingt them?
ITS ALIVE!!!
BUUUUT.....might have a serious situation! Started it, NO noises, after about 45 seconds or so,Oil pressure slowly dropped to ZERO!

I "think" the oil pressure gauge is bad, wouldn't it knock if no oil pressure? The gauge is just like all over the place, like air or something in the oiling system...

I rode it around the block yesterday couple times, seems everytime I start it, the oil pressure gets better, but does fall off WAYYY sooner than my other 98.My other one will, be about 55psi and at its hottest temp holds 20 psi on the highway and NEVER gets below 10! I know I know, oil pressure guage on an evo is soketimes called a worry gauge...lol
So back to this one..When the gauge says ZERO, wouldn't these things at least start to rattle or something IF that was the case? I do not hear any noises what so ever.
By the way, trying load a video, youtube is acting weird or something...
