Cut a notch into the race, in such a position that with the trees on the floor you have the notch facing upwards. Get a BIG, SHARP chisel and smack into the notch with the chisel at 45 degrees to the radius of the race (wear safety goggles) and use a BIG hammer......that will shift it as it will crack the race and you can pull it off.
To soften it up before using the chisel I recommend showing it a picture of Chuck Norris....

OMG! Put the eyes of the Ranger upon it? It'll likely jump out on its own and run away!
Stem up cut the race vertical right? I did that with the stem races they never cracked I had to cut chunks out until it was loose enough to pop out. This one better crack the rain stopped it's time to ride
That race came off in 5 minutes, I did the fall away but it feels super light steering now, it's not loose I don't think. One way was easier to fall than the other. I wish there was a torque setting to just tighten the bolt to.
What keeps that bolt tight there's no lock washer or anything?

Dang Ok the adjuster nut is under the top tree, get it set and when the top tree goes back on (after adjustments) and the stem nut is tightened it will lock the adjuster nut in place. Kinda like a jamb nut using the top tree as a big washer if you will.
The manual on my 97 EG puts the stem nut at 55-65 ft lbs, the adjuster nut is tightened till you get the correct swing pattern. Gonna take some playing time to nail it down.
