Anyone have any experience with Rush slip on pipes? I'm thinking of putting a set on my '05' Road King Custom fuel injected. This is the brand that the local HD dealer is pushing in a big way.
I currently have some screaming eagle slip ons which I really like the performance but these pipes are baffled and sound like sh%&. They are not much louder than stock pipes and probably sound worse.
I do not want to give up performance, or spend a ton of $ and the Rush sound pretty good.
Also was wondering if I will have to re map if I make this change.
go with the RUSH I love my 2.25. They are a great pipe I would go for the 2.25 or 2.5 The sound is very low and mellow. No tin can on my bike. 07 RoadKing Custom
Hey Heritage, I havesimiliar setup with the SEs. Want to put something like Rush on. Did you do a remap for the Rush?
Not yet. My bike is running great, but I think I will have it retuned in the next month or two just to see how many more ponies I can squeeze out.I have 3900 miles on her so I may wait untill the 5000 service.
If you dump the Se's you will definately feel the difference in added performance. The sound is nice and deep, allot louder but you won't need ear plugs!
Rush all the way (2.0 baffles)! Just to ease my conscience... I did the sert and dyno. Didn't want to "burn" anything up. Now I can rest assure that everything is right in the world! Even though it cost me almost $900.00!!!
