It's back on page 5, "so what's the best way to check you speedo accuracy" one of the replies was:

go to your local REI or bicycle shop and get a Sigma BC-800 computer 20 bucks tops.

mount it on your bars, and the pickup and magnet on the wheel and fork.

measure the front wheel and plug the number in the computer.

It is a clock, trip time, total time, top speed recorder, and super accurate speedo, odometer among other things.

it is accurate to over 150 mph too

150 mph??? Maybe in the last 100 metres of a 1000 metre time trial... but I couldn't keep that up for the whole 1000 metres!!!

Heck... the last Bicycle computer I had was an old cat-eye!

No Real input... just cranking up my post/*****/score!!!

Jim aka kiltiemon... (Be interested in the answer to your question, however!!!)

Lance Armstrong has hit 60mph or so with downhill speeds so no, I don't see a bike hitting 150, but holy CR@P!!!! 60mph on a bicycle is F'n insane!!!

I have yet to hit it on a motorcycle tho. But then again, I am a total noob (56mph max so far.........)

Mounting the pickup sensor to the fork and the magnet to the wheel is going to be interesting. I've used these for years on bicycles, and they have to be pretty close to dead on to pick up the magnetic pulse with each wheel revolution. Just checking, the distance from fork to spoke on my bicycle is 5/8" while the distance on my Dyna is 2". Then there is the problem of how to get each to stay in place on a motorcycle.
