What I am seeing more and more of is that most of these bikes are covered with “Live to Ride” crap (even funnier when the seller says all dealer installed). WTF, live to ride and you did 5k miles in 10 years. Harley should restrict the sales of that **** to those that actually ride.
My first bike was a 2002 Road King Classic purchased in 2010 with either 5, or 7k miles on it, can't remember. It was decked out in gold Live To Ride accessories. First thing I did was remove all of that and put 30k+ miles on it. God bless the garage queens.

You put whatever you want on your bike, and ride it as much or as little as you want, and I'll do the same. Then we'll all get along fine.

Never much cared for all that gaudy add on crap you can buy for the bikes. No skulls, no flames, no RTL/LTR **** on my bike. Then again, that seems par for the course when the bike is getting ready to hit 6 figures on the odo. Maybe some of the RTL/LTR stuff is the owners trying to convince themselves that they practice what is on the bike. Then again, im not a huge fan of garage queens. too much that can go sideways on these things just sitting there and not being ridden. Ive ressurected several bikes from the dead, and there is ALWAYS something else that needs done on them. Gaskets and seals dry out and shrink, oil that was never changed has whatever sediments in it fall out of suspension and sludge up the works, modern fuels separate and aid tank corrosion. this is all before the carburetor or fuel injection that has TINY passages that get plugged and are nearly impossible to clean/clear. Ill take one that has honest usage. Remember not riding your bike to keep it low mileage for resale is like not screwing your significant other so they remain pure for the next guy.......
