Any suggestions for a mesh jacket that fits big boys? Since my accident, I've thought seriously about getting one. I didn't have road rash, but only by the grace of God.
I have a First Gear hyper-Tex jacket... pain $100 4-5 years ago.... saw some HD brand stuff, at the dealer's last week... in the 30% off rack... which would be $100
Check out newenough.com... usually have some there, dunno about the larger sizes, but worth a look
most come with a zip out liner, making them 3 season gear
It never fails to amaze me what can happen in the blink of an eye. I am glad you are ok and had the sense to roll into the grass rather than on down the highway after your bike.
Bikers appearing out of nowhere priceless. Glad you had some help when you needed it also.
Can't blame yourself for riding without the jacket, though. Here in the South, the decision is usually to ride without a jacket or not at all. Riding with a jacket in this heat makes sitting on the couch seem all that more appealling.
I usually don't agree with Juno, but I will in this case. Glad you're ok though man. Let us know how everything comes out.
Will definitely keep y'all posted. That anniversary tank is going to be the big hold up on gettin' back on the road. Harley says 2-16 weeks!!!??? They try to wait til they get an order for 2-3 of the same tank before they set up to paint. It's like they want me to wish for someone else to mess up their bike. Anyway, I'm jazzed about getting forward controls. Been wanting them since I got the bike, but hell of a way to get 'em!

I'll take the under. You would think they would be able to locate one for you to make the sale...You would think.

Hay dfred, man Im glad your OK and hope you are back up ASAP.
but to some new guys on here, paractice emergency brakeing every month a couple times atleast. and laying one down IS THE last resort. Almost all newer bikes will stop quicker with emergency brakeing up on 2 wheels than they will stop slideing down the highway. with the old drum brakes they would fade and lose brakeing ability under Hard emergency brakeing and layin one down was a part of it. but with todays disc brakes laying one down is seldom a better option cause the brakes will continue to work good even in emergency situations.
I am not specin anyones accident, I just want any new riders reading this to relize that bikes will stop faster up on two wheels than on their side. learn how and practice it.
and I have been down and then run over, so I have paid my dues to the club.
