Help no power after about 3 seconds
I have a 21 RGS. Went to go for a ride today and turn the ignition and for about three seconds the radio and dash light up them poof, nothing. Hit the fuel pump and it runs fine. Did this several times and once got buserr and vinerr to flash quickly on the dash. I did take off the tank and front fairing as I wanted to see how hard putting an amp will be. Pretty sure everything went back smoothly and it ran after I was done but that was four days ago. Any thoughts?

Well, if it ran fine before removing the tank and front fairing. Then you must have knocked something loose. With the vinerr, it’s sounds like the connection to the speedometer. But, I’m just guessing...look around for something loose.

I called them and they said that code means a lose connection behind the gauges. I didn’t mess with them. The tank is just the fuel quick release, a hose, and a connector by the hose. I have run the take off and put back on a dozen times in my mind. Even the fairing is just the two side marker lights.

Would have been hooking the battery back up, putting the cover over the battery, and the seat back on.

When I turn the ignition on sometimes it stays on for a few seconds, sometimes the radio comes but no gauges, sometimes nothing comes on but the fuel pump. It seems to me like a sensor or ecm issue.
