Ok, i have a SEST and have had the bike dyno tuned runs great love the out come. However before i did this i was getting an occasional cut out like it leans way out or looses fuel or something is going on with the sensor or TPS something.
Now i talked with someone and they said i could hook the SEST up using the cable and warm the bike up around town what not and then hit the red button and the SEST would record for 15min what the bike was doing and thus i could ride around and when it happens then ride cpl min after and hit the red button and all that data would be stored in the SEST and i could look at it on the computer or come by the dealer and they would look at it for me and try to help me figure out what the hell is going on when it studders or looses fuel or sensor mess up.
Now is this how it works and will this at all in any way by doing what i listed above affect my tune that i just paid to have programmed and my dyno tunning i just had done? Or is it what it is a data record that i can look at and use to figure out what is going on.
It won't affect your tune and it will help find a problem if a sensor cuts out. You just have to hook up the bike to a laptop go into the program and you will find the data record do the setup and ride it, it works good. I just run the cable up under my jacket and ride the bike for what I am testing for. When you get back you download and save it in the program and then play it back. Hopefully it will happen when you test it. Good luck
so all i actually need to do is get the cable hook it up and hit the red button then take it to the dealer and he can read what happened like correct. sounds like a plan.
I picked up the software today latest version i was told part number 32111-10 SE pro super tuner software cd.
Cable will be here tuesday.
So bike has been dyno'd and runs great but anything and hints anyone want to give me on good uses for this software and cable and data recored option iam open and listening
And what about the smart tune option on this as got a buddy thinking about getting the sest and was asking me about it.

I hope this isn't a dumb question..but I keep reading that everyone says.."Just connect the cable and record your bike's data....ok where is it connected to on your bike? Is there a usb port somewhere on the bike or what? Also how do you load your new map to the ECM?
1sweetglide, not sure if you did but you have to buy the sofware disk and the cables they do not come with the race tuner. And the cable kit has a cable that hooks to your bike in your fuse box area on my dyna there is a cable on the bike you hook to that then to the race tuner and then the new tuners have a usb cord that hooks to the tuner and then to your computer.
I have been playing around with mine and using the data record and monitoring live data etc.
