there's a simple reset procedure on these that sets them back to factory settings and would have likely saved you a whole bunch of time.

NOTE: This will wipe out any maps and logs on the device so use your noggin and back up your stuff to your computer BEFORE you do this.

Right click the link below to download a recovery file and save it to a local drive on your computer:

http://dynojetpowervision.com/Downlo...B-0.0.9.11.pvr

Install the above recovery file to your Power Vision by following these steps:

1. While holding the “power button” down on the face of your Power Vision plug in the Power Vision via USB to your computer
2. You should notice that the screen of the Power Vision has many colored bars and says, “Recovery Mode”
3. Launch the Power Vision Update Client
4. Highlight “PV Firmware”
5. Select “Update from Local File”
6. Select “PV Recovery”
7. Point to the file you downloaded from above
8. Finish the installation of the recovery and then proceed to update the firmware and tune database

question - does changing engine displacement from 103-107 or to 110 make the map richer on the PV ? or is just a referance number ?

changes all your closed loop VE tables. Usually the only reason you want to change CI once your VEs are dialed in is to keep your VE tables under the limit of 127.5. If your VEs aren't reaching that, then don't fool with it.

i have read hours on this thread and haven't seen a question much less an answer to my problem .... my pv1 arrives tomorrow and was thinking of prepping the bike for the install. if the PV isn't weather proof how are you guys preventing water from getting into the plug after removing the pv and washing the bike? did i miss that some where?
balloon.... condom...... bread wrapper?

Balloon does work good I'm serious.....

But another thing I do is un plug the power vision cable from bike if I think there is a chance of anything happening "on the other end of the cable" I don't want to chance shorting it out or scrambling the bikes brains so to say.

I have been through this and other threads but can't find a simple answer to my question. I will be doing an AutoTune today with my PV and I wanted to know how far (distance) is recommended for an an AutoTune. Thanks in advance..
