Loaded a different tune into the bike and now the gauges on the PV are staying on. Hell if I know what's going on. Now the red key light stays on for a few seconds after cranking but everything else seems fine.
EDIT: after a longer ride it is still acting up. Going to have to carefully inspect all the connectors at the ECM is my only thought. PV is loosing the signal for some reason.

Hi everyone,
For some you folks having problems with your tune or your tune going south like I am, I started a new thread about potential problems with our bikes. So without hijacking this thread if you are interested try this for a read. I hope it may be of some help.

Hello all..
Does anyone here use Mytune to "tune" VE's? I was, but I am not sure its for me...after ATing to tighten VE's, and then logging the actual tune, MyTune seemed to keep leaning out my VE's..so on a whim, I ran AT against the tune I had been "tuning" with AT, and as I suspected, the AT had corrected the VE's making them richer..
I started noticing the more I tuned with Mytune, the more I started getting ping events up in the midrange load area.. I was even getting ping events at decel..!!

.Any ideas...?

Glen

Hi guys, just got my PV and I'm completely new to tuning and all things related.

I have a lot of homework in the 850+ pages of this forum, reading more elsewhere, lots of experience and experiment to gain. It's a long road of tuning ahead of me- But i am very tech savy, so i'm excited.

I have a pretty much stock 103, SE breather, baffles out of my stock exhaust with DK thunder torque inserts for back pressure and sound. (can't quite afford the exhaust i want yet $$)

saved my stock map, ran a handful of AT sessions and while it is a small noticeable increase, i am still experiencing decel pop.

Right now I'm not after the perfect tune, that can come over the long road of learning tuning, but i do want to rid my bike of the decel pop as i worry about my engine.

any advice or can anyone point me in the right direction on how an amateur tuner can fix this?

thanks

I have played with this quite a bit with good results. I found the most effective way to eliminate decel pop was to go in to quick tune while unit is on the bike, and richen up the decal box maybe 1 or 2 units at a time. It also made down shifting a lot smoother..

Default Firmware Tune Update Question

I'm ready to load a new Fuel Moto map they just sent me after decarboning my bike. I just updated the Power Vision to the newest firmware. I upgraded the map to the newest firmware and now there are quite a few new tables on the map that are new to me.

Question is : would you load the tune with all the new tables that you don't know anything about or would you just load the tune that Fuel Moto sent without upgrading it ?

I'm assuming the map Fuel Moto sent was generated before the newest firmware so the new tables were not adjusted by them. Was the information in these tables always there and we are just now able to view it on the powervision with the newest firmware ?

I couldn't wait for an answer so I loaded the upgraded tune with all the new tables. The bike ran fine. After a couple of auto tune runs it's even better. So now I get to check out all the new features without worry.

The new features were there you just couldn't see them or adjust them. I wish Win/PV had and update notification when update is available as SEPST does. I forget to look.
