I just ordered one with 2 day shipping. Slipons will be here tomorrow and PV and air filter before the weekend I hope. I hope I did the right thing prdering the air filter from Fuel Moto. Haven't seen any comments on it but a great deal when you buy it with the PV.

You will be happy with the Fuel Moto air filter set-up. Works great and very similar to the other offerings available...and yes it's a bargain when you bundle it with the PV.

You should be happy with the PV. It gets the job done, and requires very little input to use.

I wasn't looking to race anyone either, just wanted it to run well. The map they sent me was OK, but I tried a couple of 20 minute autotunes and really saw an improvement in performance and am getting good mileage. Another thing I like is that you can calibrate the speedo so it reads accurately.

Good luck with you bike and Fuel Moto stuff.

Got my PV from FM over a month ago with dual license. Sportie has AT ability since it's got O2 sensors. Yea narrow but still will work. My UC is old enough that no AT and no sensors. FM sent me 2 MAPS to start with. Sportie was just about darn near perfect. AT did tweak it a little but the custom MAP sent worked great.

My UC custom MAP worked great on mid and top end. Quick note to Jamie @ FM and he tweaked the MAP for bottom end so the decel popping went away. Not backfiring just some popping during engine braking. In fact the older piggyback system I removed popped worse. The 2nd MAP worked well but made the pull out a little musher than I wanted. So I looked at the first MAP and his 2nd offering and using the software found the delta difference from what he change and I created my own version - which I call a "tweener" MAP. Still has the same mid and top end power but the decel pop is still gone and the pull out is stronger - less mushy. The PV is a very strong capable tool. BUT you don't have to use it that way...

Bottom line - my UC is running the best it has ever. Both my bikes are stage1 with crankcase DIY breathers installed. PV has really woke my bikes up, not a racer either, but I like what I hear; feel on the grip/right side; and see at the pump. Bikes run great for me if 1 or 2 up.

THANKS Fuel Moto Crew and Dynojet Research for the Powervision!

Default Help Save Me a Little time please.

OK, I got all my stuff together. My package arrived on time from Fuel Moto with my PV and air cleaner. I wasn't so lucky on the slipons I ordered. UPS lost them but got another set and received them today.

The first thing I did was hide all receipts from the wife. We have been married 43 years and I learned this is always the first step.

I have a new to me 2011 Street Glide. I have had several Ultra Classics and assume this bike has the same wire tray under the tank as the Ultra's had. I started doing a little searching of this thread but since it was started in early 2011 it's a little hard to follow issues to resolution.

Before I get started I want to see holw FLH owners rand the PV wire to the handlebars. I did a search on "Tank" and came up with some posts talking about a guy who had a problem with his bike after running the wire in the tray as I had planned on doing. I looked up all his post and never saw a resolution.

So this being a 3 day weekend I want to get this done but don't want to do it that way if I will run into a problem with interference. I know the PV doesn't have to be mounted on the bike so I could just flash and take it off but I like gadgets so thought it would be fun to mount.

So, if you guys don't mind, please save me from reading 5 years of posts and tell me the best way to run the wire on my Street Glide. Also do you leave the PV on your bike or take it off once you get it running like you want.

I am not trying to re-hash the entire thread but would like some quick advice before I dig in.

Thanks

You'll be happy with both PV and FM air cleaner, and remember you also get FMs help. I haven't needed much but a map.

And if you decide to want to dick around with tuning later, you can.

I ran mine through the channel, Had read about some interference with plug wires so I ran it on the right side as far from plug wires as possible also encased it in that corrugated plastic wire cover. It's been on my handlebars almost 3 years. No problems. I still like to log data from time to time just to see whats going on. Also like monitoring ET, B+ voltage( much better than the stock gauge, gonna replace it and that usless air temp gauge with some nice tweeters someday.) MPG,and AFR while riding. Theres a lot of options on the Gauge menu.

Where did you mount yours and what did you use? The free-bee mount doesn't look like a good fit for the street glide. I have a bunch of ram mounts that look like they will work.

Did you use the Visor or can it be seen ok without it? I just didn't know how well that snap-in visor would hold the unit under the bikes vibration.

I ran mine through the channel under the tank on both of mine and never had a problem. As for the mount I used a ram base and mounted the cradle to that with the visor. My visor broke after 3 years so I made a new one out of black abs plastic. I like to watch the gauges so I leave it on full time too.
