I have a Dyna and ran my cable on the right side of the frame, then under the tank, into the backbone where all the other wires are, then out through the neck and followed the throttle and brake cables through the top triple tree to the bars.

I use a double ball Ram Mount on the lower part of my bars. One for my X Grip for the phone and the other for the Powervision. I do not use the plastic cradle with the visor. Mine is attached directly to the Ram mount.

Thanks for the pic. I'll give that mount a try.

I got my V&H round slip-ons on the bike. Not very loud but they will do. I had the ovals before and liked them but thought the rounds would look better on a Street Glide. It's all I could do right now. I always wondered what retired people meant by being on a fixed budget...now I know

I git stuck when putting the Fuel Moto air cleaner on. It requires you to reuse the stock air breather hoses. Mine were toast. I have never seen any do what these did but never ran a bike stock for 7,000 miles either. They are mush. They collapse and like glue together like gum. I have thrown tons of them away from all the bikes I put the Harley stage 1 kit on. Now I will have to visit the local Harley shops to see if I can find some. IMO, Fuel Moto should supply new ones with the kit. They are cheap and would have allowed me to go on my planned breakfast ride in the morning. Guess it will be lunch instead

I did go ahead and load the custom map FM gave me and loaded my original map to the custom list so I could back it up on the PC as a .pvt file. All worked good. I just can't wait to ride it when I am done.

I was looking at other ways to run the PV wire to the front of the bike. It sure looks easy to go under the console on top of the tank and then in the ignition switch/switch cover and up the handlebars. There is plenty of wire and that will keep it away from the engine wires. Anyone see any problems with that?

09 Electraglide. I ran mine under the tank and mounted PV on right handlebar. No issues at all. Also reused crankcase breather hoses and bolts and made my own breather line instead of routing it back in to AC. My hoses were fine and bike had around 60000 miles on it. Strange yours were mush after only 7000..

Default Good job Fuel Moto

I thought the same thing about the hoses. I bought this bike used a couple of weeks ago so don't know the history other than it was owned by 2 different Dallas Cops.

The dealer up the street had the breather hoses so I got them this morning. I ran the wire up under the top console and then down to the same point where you would have come out if you went in the tray under the tank. Then took the right screw off the ignition switch over and ran the wire up the right handlebar. End up using a RAM mount and the free visor the guys at FM sent me and I am really pleased at how it turned.

As far as the tune Fuel Moto sent me all I can say is WOW! I just rode about 100 miles and it's perfect. I did stop several times to adjust the speedometer and reload it into the ECM. Then saved the current with that change in the custom maps. I have had around 10 different Ultras and had them all tuned by a local guy in town. I really thought he was doing a good job until I got this. I know the street glide is a lighter bike but this thing has tons of pull in all gears. I know I have a lot more riding to do to give it a real test but at this point I can't find any fault. The Fuel Moto guys did a great tune for me.

At first I hadn't planned on leaving the PV on the box but after seeing some of the gauges available it will stay. I like the trip display because it shows you you MPG. I don't know if it's accurate yet but you sure can see the MPG go up and down depending on how you ride. I can tell you right now for a while I won't get good mileage. It's too much fun twisting the throttle and feeling the torque.

I was really surprised how simple the whole process was to install this. I think a lot of the reason is because I kept it simple with just slipons and hi-flow air breather. I am sure other tunes are more complicated.

Now back to riding.

Default Touch screen

As you can see in the previous posts I just received and installed my PV yesterday.

I am having a small issue with the touch screen. When I tried the quick tune screen I was having trouble pressing the smaller buttons so I decided to do a touch screen calibrate to no avail. Below is the email I just sent to Fuel Moto and it being a holiday weekend I thought I would see if anyone else had the issue. I did update the firmware in the PV but no change.

Anyone else seen this or did I just get one with a bad screen?

Here is the symptoms:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The tune worked great but when trying to use the screen for the quick tune items I was having trouble getting the touch screen to work toward the top of the screen. I tried the touch calibrate and the X starts in the upper left hand corner. It will not recognize my finger. I had the wife try it and it will not see her finger either.

Then I decided to flip the screen (software setting) and of course it's all upside down but never the less I started the calibrate again. With the screen upside down software wise the X comes up in the lower right hand corner. It "see's" my finger fine and then the X goes to the physical top of the screen (bottom software wise) and the X again will NOT recognize my finger. So it appears I have a bad touch screen. I noticed when I flipped the screen software wise the display is not centered from top to bottom. Just more obious with the screen flipped. Also with the screen flipped the quick scan buttons work fine proving the bottom of the screen works fine but the top doesn't.

All this is with the cable coming out of the right side. Either way the calibrate will not work and when flipped the display is not only off center but touching the bottom.

I removed my Power vision from the 2013 I traded off. I have no intentions of paying them $200 dollars to add it to my 2016. Not like I am trying to use it on two bikes the 2013 is gone. I paid for the darn tuner when I purchased it. I understand I can not tune the 2016 with it. However if I purchase the Canbus cable will I still be able to use the other functions of the Power vision. I like some of the tools it has . But on the new if Change the pipes and AC witch is likely, I am just going to have dealer dyno it and be done with it.

As far as I know, you would be able to check and clear codes only

And how much is the dealer going to charge you to dyno tune the bike?

So let me get this straight. Instead of paying $200 for another licence allowing you to tune your new 2016 at your will as many times as you like and have full functionality of the PV you would rather pay the dealer close to $300 to do a static tune once that you can never change without paying even more, and have no use of the PV ever again?
