I hooked up a PV1 yesterday with auto tune and wide band o2 sensors. I am not getting a signal in data log mode for the gauges and when I download to my pc it gives me a read error on the data log file. Anyone had this problem?

I did find the info on the website I needed, log tuner download for one thing... will set the channels and try a data log run, see how that goes... thanks.
The difference is in the cable. The Ultra has 4 pins and the dyna has 6 pins, totally different. I forget the exact term, canbus I think.
Yes CAN (Controller Area Network) bus. Beyond the pin out differences, a totally different communications protocol between the various components that communicate on the bus.
question for the more experienced... have been using PV now and confortable with the basic tune. bike runs good... no issues but i do get spark knock on my Rear cylinder at a ratio of 5-2 , where 2 is my front cylinder.. are these knocks true.. it happens more when engine temp is close to 285 or when i throttle close to full throttle when pulling hard.. should i be concerned ? i use octane 91-95 gas. i assume basic tune will not adjust anything to help this i am not strong on playing with the timing... any suggestions ? are these knocks real with the PV... i have read sometimes it may not be real...
One big reason you don't see many maps from other riders is that the PV gives you a way to create one especially for your bike based on what you want to do. This thread has tons of information on how to setup your tune. Just pick one close and start from there. You don't have to use canned maps any more or settle for something close!!! You can customize one for how your bike works with the parts you have installed based on the feedback and performance. Check the PV Tuning Basics link in my signature to help get started.
Newbe here, I have been reading this thread some but all I see is bikes with o2's on them for tuning. I have a 06 with out o2's and a map from fuel moto that sucks!! I have been waiting for Jamie to email me back for over a week.
Anyway I reloaded the tune that was on the bike before the fuel moto flash and it seems to run better. The reason for the pv was I just installed woods tw555-6r cams. I think the bike had a stage 1 flash but not sure, it had se air and rienhart 2-1 on it already.
With the fuel moto flash the bike knocks like hell between 2200-3000rpm, it doesn't like to take off with out a hickup and started to surge on cruse. After reloading the original tune all that went away. I know this is a great tuner but you first must know what you are doing

Usually when you have "false retard" it will be more prevalent on one cylinder. Try removing some timing and see if you still show the activity. Usually removing 1/2 of what you see will do it, but you can be a little more aggressive to see if it's real.
