I would not turn off ACR, Heated O2 sensors or Adaptive in Quick tune.
When Fuel Moto says to "fine tune" the tune, I suspect they mean to run Auto Tune with the PV.
That process will tune the VE tables.

Was the Stage 2 Power hardware installed by the dealer?
Did the dealer flash the HD Pro Street Tuner matching tune?
If yes you can download the tune from the PV, it wall save a copy when it marries to your ECU.

Are you aware that HD will void the engine warranty if you use the Power Vision?

You could download the HD Pro Super Tuner software and compare the Stage 2 Power and Torque tunes.
I looked at the FXFBS 114 Power and torque tunes and the Front VE tables varied by + - 22% (mostly in the deceleration area).
The cruise range (~2000 - 3500 rpm and Throttle positions from ~ 5-25%) Front VE varied by about 2%.
The front VE tables averaged about 4% difference across the whole table.
It looked like the Lambda table was the same.
There were difference in the Spark Advance Front tables.

If you want to compare the HD tunes download the SE Pro Super Software here:
http://prosupertuner.harley-davidson...uperTuner.aspx
Use all 1's for the VCI serial number.

At the link above is another link to the Harley Davidson Pro Super Tuner software training videos-
It is worth the time to go through the whole training even though you have a Power Vision.
http://prosupertuner.harley-davidson...ENU/index.html

It starts with How the HD EFI system works and covers tuning without a dyno pretty well.

Thanks for all the info. To answer your questions:

Was the Stage 2 Power hardware installed by the dealer?
Yes
Did the dealer flash the HD Pro Street Tuner matching tune?
No
Are you aware that HD will void the engine warranty if you use the Power Vision?
Yes

I install my own Dyno Jet Auto Tune & Target Tune systems (3 to date) but am not “outside the box tune” savy. Just stick to the basic tune delivered by the system.

Thanks again.

Dynojet Power Vision is now available for all 2019 H-D models & Fuel Moto has 2019 maps ready. For current users moving to 2019 bikes a firmware & tune database update is required thru the PV update client before reading your ECM, for those purchasing from FM the units will come fully updated, programmed with the appropriate tune, ready to go.

How do I tell what tune I currently have loaded and running while PV unit is on bike?

You can save the current tune to a slot on the PV,

Go to Program vehicle, custom tunes, load copy, load copy of current tune,
it will read the ECU and save the tune into a slot on the PV as "copy of current tune"

Use WinPV to get the tune you saved, it will open as "untitled.pvt", save it with a descriptive file name.
Check the description info for the tune, or compare it to another tune with "Load Compare"

Am I correct that this new firmware & tune database update for 2019 models is okay to down load for older models as well?

Have a 2001 softail which is now a 103, dynojet Dyno tuned with which I use a PV / Auotune. The bike is nicely locked in so the Sensors, wiring, auotune box, cables and PV live in a box until I need to fiddle eg I recently went from a Propipe to a Supertrapp setup.

thing is, I also have a 2010 Glide which is getting similar engine treatment. It will of course be tuned on the same Dyno. However, with the later ECU I can use the Target Tune which I bought as an upgrade having already the sensors and cables from the autotune. In this case, the PV will always be on the handlebars and the sensor / Target Tune setup permanently wired in.

To play with the softail again I don’t want to go to the trouble of removing the sensors and wires from the glide every time. I can buy a second Y connector, sensors and their cables from Dynojet but the prices (except for the Y connector) are silly. The Bosch sensors with correct connector and “free air” calibration plus the female connector cables are available for less than half the Dynojet price.

Do we know if there is something extra different in the sensors Dynojet use (obviously correct calibration is critical here)? Or is there anything else to take into consideration?

Would rather buy from Dynojet as they did all the work in bringing us these wonderful products but the price difference has to have a logical limit.

the PV has a quick release mount, I have a second cable so the PV wiring is in place on both bikes and of course there is a license for each bike on thePV

The wideband sensors used with all of the Dynojet Auto Tune kits, Target Tune, and Dynoware RT is Bosch part # 17205

E10 (10% ethanol) fuel question: when I get my bike Dynojet Dyno tuned with PV I would like to have two tunes on the PV, one for when I fill with E10 and one for fuel without E. Does this require a Dyno run for each fuel or can I just use WinPV to create an E10 tune by opening one tune, change the fuel type and save it under a different name?
